This magazine cover is taken from ‘Cosmo Girl UK’, it is the younger equivalent of the female magazine Cosmopolitan which is for an adult audience; Cosmo Girl is a fashion, celebrity gossip and advice magazine. The colour scheme is pink in order to attract the female audience making the target sex of the magazine clear, the cover also uses bright florescent colours to draw attention to it making it impossible to miss on a shelf.

The target audience range for this magazine is for female teenagers aged 15-18, which is clearly shown by the topics the magazine features such as, ‘Bad boys exposed’,‘Push his buttons’ and ‘Get fit under your duvet’. These topics may be slightly too racy for a lower target audience as it features sexual innuendos, which are not appropriate for a younger target audience. It also features the article‘476 ways to be irresistible’ and then written on top is ‘Chic but cheap!’Which is taking into consideration that their target audience may not be employed and will most probably be in full time education, so will not be earning their own money, so fashion on a budget will be relevant.
